Water Skiing in Fermanagh, is considered a County sport, everyone knows
someone who ski's or did ski a one time. Quite a few of my friends own
or have shares in boats and ski most if not every weekend from May to
September.
Water Skiing is very much a social sport, and people often congregate
in large groups around Jetties to strut their stuff, both on and off the
water.
Fermanagh offers hundreds of Skiing location possibilities, from the
populated gathering areas, where people go to have a good time, to the
more remote, quite areas were you can learn to ski, without the embarrassment
of onlookers.
If you come to Fermanagh wishing to learn to ski there are plenty of
outdoor centres to facilitate you, I myself prefer to watch than partake,
and enjoy going out on the lake in the boats taking pictures of the Water
Skiers in high-speed action (see gallery).
Usually a days Water Skiing will last well into an evening, and if that
evening happens to be a warm summers evening, the barbeques will usually
come out, and perhaps the odd bottle of beer will be drunk, to round off
the day.
Unfortunately Skiing is not my thing so I don't have much to say on
